I wanted a song where I could just jam for like 2 or 3 minutes. This is the rare time where I recorded the music before there were any lyrics. Initially, I set out to make a song that was just a 10 minute guitar solo but I ditched that idea for this. Back story…In high school, I used to buy crappy paintings of owls from Goodwill and other thrift establishments for like a dollar and hang them in my room. I liked the idea that they were watching over me. People have told me that is weird. I don’t disagree…so I decided to write a song about it.

Lyrics:
These owls are always looking at me
But I can’t tell them anything
’Cause I don’t always know where I am
They see better at night than I can
These owls are always watching me
These owls are always watching me
I used to have them staring at me
I thought they’d offer protection
From this world
It’s no wonder that I never
Slept a night in my life
These owls are always watching me
These owls are always watching me
