I was driving one day thinking about songs to write and the phrase ‘I want to be the soundtrack of your life’ appeared from the ether. The concept is that life has a lot of ebbs and flows and ‘soundtrack’ is about embracing the journey of life, the whole experience. Good and bad. All of it.
The music gives off some Wizard of Oz vibes where it goes from black/white to color as layers of instruments come into the picture every section of the song. Part of that is intentional but really starts up when Bob Witchger’s drums roll in. There might be some quasi-Radiohead sonic moments as I was staring at a poster of OK Computer while I wrote it.
